Professional with Sass

When you want to look professional but add a little on trend sass than flared pants and a fitted vest is a great option . It gives you a feeling of being put together without going in full suit mode.   If you follow my blog than you know this fashionista has a slight obsession with flared pants they just seem to balance this pear shaped body out.. so honey flares are my friend till the end ! LOL.

Not only did I fall in love with the style of these pieces it was the awesome shade of Orange /Red that just forced these fingers to add this look to the cart . I simply love bright vibrant colors especially now that we approach spring. There is something about them that make you feel alive , confident and ready for anything. I can remember a time when my closet basically consisted of neutrals or black but color is fun and makes things a lot more interesting. Don't be afraid to add color ! You know how they say bacon makes everything better.. think of bright colors as the bacon in your wardrobe!  Just add color

Valentine Madness - recap

Well it's been a few great weeks of some pink and red madness and I loved every minute of it.    I had a great time coming up with romantical looks for the time of the year.. yes I realize that romantical is not a word but it sounds pretty cute to me.

I spent my Valentines day at an Scholastic Art awards ceremony for my oh so talented daughter.  I couldn't think of a better way to spend it watching my baby girl get celebrated for her awesome accomplishments.. She is a senior and the countdown is on .. I am taking in everyone of these moments because I know our life if about to take a drastic change in few months. I am excited, scared, worried and happy all at the same time if that makes any sense.

Well lets' start this recap of Valentines' inspired fashions

                                                          Lil Miss Prim and Proper

Nothing says prim and proper quite like a flared midi skirt and in this fabulous shade of hot pink it says Valentine's day like no other.

Be My Valentine

I just love the Valentines Day season and I think due to the entire red and pink theme . They are like two of my favorite colors to wear so when there is like almost entire month or so dedicated to those hues than how can I not indulge ?

I just love the color pink it just says romantic and feminine and that is just so much of my personality and feel like this look really captures that.  The bright and vibrant bubble gum pink really got my  attention when surfing the clearance rack at my local Jcpenney but the price of $3.97 (and that was before the coupon )stopped this Curly girl right in her tracks.. I said " Oh yes this will be my Valentine to myself " I will totally wear this with jeans , white slacks , a navy skirt.. Now what is better than getting a cute blouse for under $4 ? Well finding many ways to style it of course .  This girl is up for that challenge !

Our January " You Go Girl"

I can honestly say that 2016 has really started out quite fabulous . I can't begin to convey the excitement I feel about the " You Go Girl " project.  What started out as a chance meeting with the talented photographer Casey Brothers of Le Petite studios has turned into a beyond wonderful experience.

The " You Go Girl " project is awarding 12 women who have been through  or currently going through some sort of adversity in their life .  We were honored that Women's Health Advantage one of the largest providers of women's health care in Northeast Indiana shared our belief in this project and signed up to be our main sponsor which is such a blessing to our cause. We want to grant these women with a day to feel glamorous with a new wardrobe, hair and makeup , a pampering session finishing off with model like photo shoot so she can see the beauty within .

I have the pleasure of getting to know a pretty awesome woman through our " You Go Girl " project .   Her name is Denise Hancz Barron our January " You Go Girl " . She is not only beautiful on the outside but her soul and spirit are just as gorgeous.  Denise was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer not quite a year ago . She went through countless surgeries and overcame obstacles that many thought were impossible . But it was here faith and sheer determination that really made the difference  .   When getting this project moving with Casey and now Lori at Women's Health Advantage I knew that I wanted to make a difference in these women's lives but I didn't understand what a difference they would make in mine.  I have been inspired by this wonderful woman's will to survive , her strength and her loving heart and I think Denise is the perfect January "You Go Girl "
