Spring Favorites - Bisou Bisou

I can't believe we are midway through the month of April .   As much as I hate time passing so swiftly I have to admit this girl is ready for the warmer temps.  Living in Indiana usually produces some very unpleasant winter weather so usually about this time of the year I am like a animal that has been trapped in a cage all day and ready to get out an party .

Spring and Fall are my two favorite times of the year fashion wise.  After bundling up with layers for months it feels good to wear lighter clothes and those spring colors just make me swoon.  So this will be my second post of my Spring Favorites at Jcpenney.

One of my favorite lines at +JCPenney  is the Bisou Bisou line which is described as " A fresh Parisian street fashion clothing line "  . I love the fact that it's on trend, sexy  in a tasteful way and totally reasonable which you know I am all about that life.

I first picked up the top not thinking I would get the skirt because I have so many skirts but I made the mistake of trying it on and fell in love with it .  I love the bohemian pattern with the vibrant pastels such a perfect look for spring .  I decided to wear a gold belt and add a pink jacket complete this fun and sexy look.  I am seriously crushing on there spring line up right now like there are so many cute options that I better just stay at home before I add them all to my wardrobe . LOL

The Fab 40's in Floral

Can I just say I was a little excited when I found out the theme for our awesome little group " The Fab 40's " would be florals ?  This girly girl is all about the floral life especially during the newness of spring . It is the time of year when you feel like you have a new lease on life . You see things growing blooming it makes you appreciate all the beauty that this world has to offer.

" After women, flowers are the most lovely thing God has given the world"                                                                                                -Christian Dior

When I was first introduced to the " Floral theme " I thought I would go with lighter hues for the warmer temps but than I came floppy hat because hats just seem to make everything a little better .

That's the beautiful thing about being a woman you have options and that is what makes fashion so much fun.

Spring Lookbook - Black and White

I can't express how thankful I am that it's finally spring! I want to see pretty flowers, birds chirping and sunny skies... I mean immediately ! LOL . Honestly I really can't complain Indiana has had a mild winter compared to other parts of the country  but I am still so ready  for the warmer temps .

In celebration of the season change and the one year anniversary of myself and four other fabulous ladies being selected as Jcpenney Muse's  for their Spring Lookbook  2015 campaign ( see here) I thought it would be fun to highlight my favorite Spring looks that Jcpenney has for 2016 and as always there is a huge selection and at an awesome price point . Which you know is right up this frugal fashionista's alley !

I decided to start with this black and white dress by Belle and Skye that I fell in love with the moment I laid my eyes on it.  The material is a sheer and lightweight so it flows nice on your body and is simple yet chic with the black and white stripes. It's like a classic shirt dress but what sets it apart from the rest what high low cut of this dress  . I decided to add a belt to because it accentuated the waist area which works better for a pear shaped girl like myself.

There is just something about black and white that says classic , chic and stylish . I could totally see me rocking this dress with skinny jeans and perhaps some red pumps to add that pop of color that gives it another dimension.

What are you fashionista's looking forward to wearing this spring?  I can't wait to show you my other Jcpenney spring finds.. The issue will be what to choose but I love problems like that! LOL

As always I want to thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog it's always appreciated.

You Go Girl Project - Meet Sally Segerson!

We are now in month 3 of our " You Go Girl"  project that awards deserving woman in the Fort Wayne Indiana with a day of glamour and beauty so they can see the beauty that lies within them . When beginning this project I knew I wanted to make a difference in these women's lives but I wasn't prepared for gifts I would receive by meeting them hearing their story  .  I have bonded with these women and they have shared parts of thereir life with us and for that I will forever be grateful.

Our March Woman Sally Becker Segerson is a woman that dedicates her life to people that would otherwise be forgotten , the homeless people in our community with Street Reach for the Homeless   . Sally  made it her mission in life to cloth, feed and provide them with necessities to make their life a little easier.  When I first met Sally and her heard her story I could hear the love and passion that she has for this cause and for the people she helps . She provides them with so much more than food , clothes and shelter she gives them hope . She views the people she helps as family and treats them like they matter.  She is truly  a " You Go Girl "

                                                          Meet Sally Segerson

Sally is a magical woman who gives her all to help people that are in need so it was such a pleasure for the " You Go Girl project " to pamper her and make her feel special for a day.  I had the pleasure of styling her which was a wonderful experience and  she just looked so lovely .  I love the way our talented  photographer Casey Brothers at Le Petite Studios (Co-Founder) captured her spirit and natural beauty .

“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.”
― Mandy HaleThe Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass

Give More  - is the what I learned from Sally weather that be your time, your ear , or material items that I may have that could make a difference in someone's life  .  You don't know what someone's story is just know they are human beings in need.

I want to thank everyone that contributed to make this project possible (here)

If  you know of a woman in the Fort Wayne, Indiana that has been through or currently going    through some sort of adversity or making differences in peoples life and you feel like she is a "You Go Girl "  than nominate her at www.yougogirlproject.com.

I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by it is much appreciated!

Ladies Who Brunch - What Should I Wear ?

I am that girl that loves to release her inner princess from time to time so then when the opportunity to get all fancy and girly presents itself I jump in with both pink pumps!  My idea of a fancy ladies brunch look consists of long fancy skirts in springlike colors , heels and maybe few cute accessories . This is actually the last  of the "What Should I Wear?" segment with my beautiful friend Amy and this has been such a blast. What could be more fun that two besties that love fashion getting dressed and taking photos of looks they love...

Ladies Who Brunch - Mary's Take

I always find myself coming back to classic feminine style and this skirt certainly reflects but the high low design gives a bit of modern flair.  This skirt was actually a part of a 2 piece prom outfit (don't tell my daughter) she will say " Mom you are not a Junior" but I fell in love with it the first time I saw it what was a girl to do?  I opted out of the crop top (or my stomach did )and added a bright pink button up for a classic feminine look .

Skirt Set- Jcpenney (here), Shirt - (here), Shoes - (here) , Necklace (sim)

Ladies Who Brunch - Amy's Look

I belive that every woman needs a tulle skirt even if they don't know they need one. Amy didn't know she needed on but when she put it on.. I like she realized that she needed to unleash the inner princesses . This look is pretty but sophisticated and she is Brunch ready!

So that there you go two different looks for a Ladies Brunch.  I think this was my favorite post of the "What Should I Wear look"   Our photographer was able to get some pretty fantastic shots even with it being crazy windy.. I mean like 50 miles an hour winds.. We were trying to avoid many Marilyn Monroe moments and well as falling on our behinds.. It was great fun and many thanks to our photographer Kim Bailey capturing every moment .. especially the funny ones.

As always I want to thank you for stopping by my little blog ! It's always a pleasure and see you soon!
