Boho With the Fab 40's

I am so privileged to be a part of such a fabulous group" the Fab 40'sa group of 8 international fashionista's that come together once a month to select a theme and create an interpretation of  what that looks like in our own mind.  I was very excited to find that May's theme would be " Boho" . In the past few years I really taken a liking to the easy breezy vibe that boho conveys  .   I mean I was born in the 70's and unfortunately I was to young to enjoy the fashion of that era so luckily this girl gets to chance to recapture it. The boho trend just gives me a feeling of peace and love :)

I selected this gorgeous printed dress that gave me a "Boho Glam " feel  . I just love the vibrant color it's so rich and when you add a little gold honey .. it takes this dress to a new level.  I added these comfy wedges and floppy hat my " Boho Glam " look was born.  I have to give photo credit to my sister Erin .  It was such a beautiful day and alot of fun hanging out with my sister. She has so many ideas but I am not rolling around in the grass .. LOL .. Thanks sis !

I just love the pattern of this dress and how she added a skirt to extend it now that's pure genius and I will be borrowing this idea . This boho look makes my heart smile!

Colorful Stripes times Three - Lady Like

There is nothing that gets me more excited about getting dressed like a cute dress or skirt but when you can combine them both honey you got me in Fashionista heaven.  As if the dress wasn't vibrant enough for you but adding the darling hot pink skirt to element takes it to another level.  There is nothing like multifuntional pieces that you make the most out of .  I have slight obsession with full midi skirts they make you feel so lady like and proper.  They  compliment most body types and you feel elegantly chic in them so slipping it on over this fun midi dress gave it a more classy feel .

You can get so creative with clothes it just like art  you make it unique and make it your own and never be afraid to experiment and just have fun with it .

This look I would take to church a graduation or even a wedding. I love coming up with different looks with one piece is kinder to that pocket book and it test those creativity skills.

I am so glad you stopped by it's always a pleasure . I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend.

                                        XOXO Mary aka Curlybyrdie

Colorful Stripes times Three -Casually Chic

Oh the joy I find in the small things in life like expanding my closet ( like it needs expanding LOL) but finding a way to make one piece of clothing look good in so many different ways . I love taking that one piece like this fabulous striped sweater dress I got from  +Nyc Retailer  and taking it the office , church or a night out on the town.   I am all about those bright colors and this lightweight sweater dress is perfect for the spring and summer nights and the colors will match almost any summer friendly accessory in your closet .

I am single mom and I am not rolling in the money so I love to show other women like myself how to make her closet appear a little bit larger and give her more options with pieces that she already may own.

The first look I am highlighting is that casually chic look .  You know the look the one you need to throw together with not alot of fuss to go run errands or meet your girls for lunch.  The dress is the the focal point of this look and I add a casual but fabulous shoe like these clog style Jessica Simpson shoe and the basic jean jacket which most of us have in our closet . My philosophy when in doubt put on a jean jacket.. LOL .  I love how easy this look is but you still feel put together and ladies I am all about that life because this girl is always on the go !

How about you Fashionista's do you like this casually chic look? Do you throw a jean jacket on when in doubt LOL .  As always I want to thank you for stopping by !

Jumpsuit Culotte Love

There are two trends that I am loving right now culottes and jumpsuits and when I can find them both all rolled up into one this fashionista is one happy girl.I think jumpsuits just make life easier it's like one and done so it requires less thinking and this single mother of two welcome anything that require less thought.. LOL.  I can remember wearing culottes back in day but this takes an old trend makes it even more fabulous.

I fell in love with the color of this jumpsuit and the halter styling which is very flattering.  You could totally add some gold pumps and clutch for sexier night out of the town. I opted for wedges to make it a more casual look . I love that this is a multi functional piece that can be styled various ways which expands your wardrobe so you are getting more looks for less money.. and I am all about that life :)

Mono Chromatic on the Chic

I had a lot of fun with this shoot partly because my sister was  the photographer so you know  you can act like a stone cold fool and no one cares and my nephew tagged along so it made it even more of a family affair.  You know I am not Curlybyrdie with my nieces and nephews I Aunt Sissy just a fun fact about myself.

My look today had so many things that I just love first the mono chromatic white and black so classic and chic I feel like you just can't go wrong with those hues and than stripes on stripes with added polka dots .. Oh yes give me pattern mixing anytime it makes things so much fun.  This look is so versatile you could add a jacket to keep it office friendly and take the jacket off and and higher heels and head to drinks after work . I am all about multi function looks in case you didn't know.
