You Go Girl July - Jessica Collins

I an hardly believe that we are already in month 7 of the " You Go Girl Project" ! Time really flies when you are having fun and this project has really been amazing.

The " You Go Girl " project that was was co founded by local photographer Casey Brothers of Le Petite Studios  and myself  and we are  awarding 12 women who have been through  or currently going through some sort of adversity in their life .  We were honored that Women's Health Advantage one of the largest providers of women's health care in Northeast Indiana shared our belief in this project and signed up to be our main sponsor which is such a blessing to our cause. We want to grant these women with a day to feel glamorous with a new wardrobe, hair and makeup , a pampering session finishing off with model like photo shoot so she can see the beauty within .

As we wrap up month 7 of this awesome project I would like to introduce you to the gorgeous Jessica Collins who is our July " You Go Girl " . Jessica is amazing young woman who has overcame many  obstacles from her childhood to become the confidant woman you see today.  She just graduated from Purdue University and will soon attend Graduate school in Houston, TX.    You can read more about here story (here)

I really feel that meeting Jessica at this time was such a blessing with my daughter  leaving for college this year it really helped me see what the future may look like for her. She is such a great role model for young women someone they can look up and realize they too can reach their own goals. I loved witnessing the strong bond she had with own mother and really comforted me with my daughter being away  I do believe that God really brings people in your life at the exact time and I believe it was not a mistake that met this lovely young woman at this moment.

We are so fortunate to have companies that support this cause by donating services and items .  You can see a list of some of our sponsors (here).

I had great fun styling this gorgeous girl and so thankful to Clothes Mentor - Fort Wayne for providing our ladies beautiful wardrobe . My favorite was this gorgeous  black and white outfit. I was over the moon when I found this perfect skirt for only $5 and the top was $6 .  Yes you heard me a complete look for $11 you really can't get much better than that.  So not only can you find great deals they also give cash on the spot for fabulous pieces that you have in your closet that you are no longer wearing.

When Casey and I first put our heads together last November about this project I would have never guessed how much it would change our lives. We have met some amazing women and we like to think that this experience has impacted them in a positive way but we also would like them to know we are forever changed .  These stories of strength and determination make us want to be stronger and stand up for people who are not able to stand up for themselves.

I know now more than ever that " We are our sisters keepers"

Yes to the Dress Four Times!

One thing that you should know about me is that when I love .. I love hard.. and that is in every area of my life including my clothing . It was really love at first sight when I saw this dress on +JCPenney .com .  I loved the quality and the style of this little dress it is a basic that added some excitement with the perforated overlay . It started with the Olive and Black and being so impressed with them I had to add the Burgundy  and white to the mix !  What I adore about this dress is that it is fashion forward and so many styling options and can easily be transitioned into the fall and not to mention the price point.. Oh yes honey  !

I love love Olive green it is so perfect for this time of the year when summer is winding down and you want to start transitioning into those fall hues.  I love wearing it with tan , brown and black such a neutral pallet. I decided to create more of a sexy look that would be perfect for a date night or a night out with the girls . I could  see myself adding a jacket to make it more office friendly or even some cute converse to go more "Mommy Chic"

                                                           In White

In case you missed this dress in post with the Fab 40's you can see it (here)

What I have learned in my more mature years I see me gravitating to the more basic pieces.  They serve as a pallet to so many  different looks and this girl likes options

I wanted to thank you for coming through it's always my pleasure and wishing  you a fabulous rest of the week.

                                                            XOXO - Mary aka Curlybyrdie

Fab 40's in All White

So now it is my favorite time of the month that where I collaborate with the " Fab 40's " a group of international fashionista's for our interpretation of the monthly theme. It was actually my turn to come up with the theme and I decided on the " All White Theme" .  When I think of summer fashion I automatically think of the color white.  It makes me think of summer at the Hampton's, all white parties after memorial day it just says sophistication . When I see the color white I think of pureness and peace and at of time of such chaos in the world it seems those two things are much needed at this time.

When I first started to think about what I would put together for this theme I said I will not be wearing a dress because that is what I usually do but the when the original outfit didn't seem to pan out to my liking I went back to my beloved dress.. Lol.  When I love something I love  it and this dress I absolutely love so much so I got all four colors..Please don't judge me LOL. This dress is light , great quality , fashion forward and best of  all it was under $20 after my coupon.  I ended up matching this up with classic white pumps and white and gold tassel necklace . I felt this look was easy and sophisticated and for me that makes it perfect for a busy fashionable girl like myself.

                                                          Fab 40's - All White

I am so excited to introduce our guest bloggers Nikki and Ornella from The Ono Lifestyle.  These stunning ladies are from Greece and their sophisticated fashion sense and beautiful photos is what caught my attention.  I simply love their take on the " All White " theme it is so totally Grecian Goddess and the dresses are individually fabulous.

And next we have the lovely Dianne from Fashion on the 4th Floor who always amazes me with her look. She creates these sporty but chic looks like she is just belongs at New York Fashion week. I would have never even thought to put this look together and she looks amazing.

Sheela from Sheela Writes  has the shoe closet that I would most like to raid.  I love how she created a casual look and than pulls out these fabulous pink shoes of perfection and that bag with the tassel girl.. seriously in love with this look

Jennie from A Pocketful of Polka Dots brings on the fun with this "Fashionably Late tee" which btw I need to pick up for myself  because that would be my life. I love how she added the printed bag and fabulous shoes to create a fun and chic look .

I am always looking forward to see how Samantha from Fake Fabulous is going to style the monthly theme. I love the she layers things and end up looking fun and at the same time sophisticated .

Anne from Kremb De La Kremb is giving me major leg envy .  I love this look and reminds me summer casual days on the beach .

I would now like to welcome our newest member of the Fab 40's.  Veronica from Cid Style File she is a great addition to our group and can't wait to see her take on each month's theme.  She went casual with this months them and I loving those shoes girl to add something extra ..

What and fun month and a great way to wrap up the month of July. I loved seeing these ladies take on this theme and I can't wait to see what August has in store for this group.

As always I want thank you for taking time out your day to visit. Have an awesome week!

Give me a Triple

There have been many times that I have been pleasantly surprised when I try something on and this was most certainly the case when I put this jumpsuit on. When I first saw this jumpsuit from +Eccentric kristoure  I had no idea that  I would fancy this at all but that goes to show you ...you must first try on! LOL. When I added a belt to this piece it gave me just the look I needed and the fabric makes it oh so comfortable and who doesn't want style plus comfort?

I gravitate to things that I can style various ways and this jumpsuit is a simple piece with many possibilities and ladies you know we need options .. Just saying.

                                                             Look 1 - Date Night

I added some animal print shoes and clutch to give it a little sexiness . I love orange and red hues with animal print I just feel that it compliments it so well .  This look says I am ready for dancing and fun.

Idris Elba you are here to pick me up? (A girl can dream right?)

Jumpsuit (here), Shoes (sim), Belt (sim)

                                                   Lunch Date

This look tones down the sexiness keeps with the animal print theme but this time with the cognac colored belt.  I kept the pump at more neutral hue to create a perfect day look that isn't doing to much.

                                                     Weekend Look

I just love a easy comfy look that still looks cute.  This casual boho inspired look is perfect for those weekend errands or perhaps a trip to the mall.  I added these fabulous fringe shoes that I have been dying to wear for awhile and my casual creation is born.

                                             Shoes -(here), Belt (here)

Which look is your favorite? Have you ever been pleasantly surprised when you tried on something that was totally out of your comfort zone?  Is this a piece that you think will work nicely in your wardrobe?  Use code CHIRPS at Eccentric Kristoure  for additional 10% now how sweet is that?

A Fabulous 4th Weekend

This weekend was so much more than the regular forth of July festivities . I was extremely excited to see my daughter who had been away on the summer program at college.  It had been three weeks of me missing this girl and the simple things that we always did like going to the coffee shop or late night cups of coffee.. yes these ladies love they coffee! It was just a great feeling to have both my babies under the same roof just for a few nights.

While everyone is watching fireworks  I will be on the road with my babygirl taking her back to school and wouldn't have it any other way .

While she was home and to much of her annoyance I had her snap a few photos of this beyond gorgeous skirt from my new favorite boutique  +Eccentric kristoure . This skirt is so swoon worthy I remember the first time I saw this online I fell in love instantly . I thought with the holiday weekend in effect I thought I would give it a little Forth of July flavor.  The quality material and gorgeous pattern makes this a piece that is defiantly worth the investment.  If you love this skirt or any other fabulous items from Eccentric Kristoure  you can save an additional 10% with the coupon code CHIRPS . I know you will love the selection as much as I do .

                                                                 Details of Look
Skirt - (here), Tank (here), Necklace (sim), Belt (sim), Shoes (here)

What I love about this look is that I was able to accessorize this look very inexpensively  . The tank was $2.00 the belt $9 and the necklace $5 all  from Kohl's and the fabulous  Carlos Santana shoes were priced at below $20 on the clearance rack at Macy's.  I am all about that clearance rack life .
