FAB 40's in Leather and Lace

Oh yes it my favorite time of the month again where I collaborate with the Fab 40's a group of amazing International bloggers where we each create our individual interpretation of a theme .  It was actually my turn to select this months theme and after much deliberation I decided on Leather and Lace . I thought that this was going to be a breeze  for me but it turned out to be much more difficult than what I anticipated. I thought that I would go with more sexy edgy look but I took the more feminine route.. Imagine that:)

I decided to style this olive green skirt that I scored off the clearance rack at Target for like $9 with this lace Lauren Conrad shirt and added a scarf that I got some time ago to give it a little something extra to the look.  I thought adding the snakeskin booties and bag would give it a little different vibe than just going very conservative .

                                    Skirt - Target  , Top - Kohl's , Boots - Target , Bag- Jcpenney

                                                 The FAB 40's

Well it was my turn to invite our guest blogger and I am very pleased to introduce Kimberly from The Haute Life Now . I met Kim a few years ago in New York City where we  were introduced when we both were selected for a collaboration with Jcpenney . I loved her amazing style immediately so chic and sophisticated .  I am so excited that she was able to join us this week !

I love Kim's take on this theme she keeps it classy but adds a little sexiness with the lace crop top. I feel that this look is very New York and she looks amaaazing !

Sheela from Sheela Writes amazes me every month like I am totally obsessed with look love the lace dress with the blush leather jacket and she of course has some these amazing boots to make it even more fabulous they add a little bit of edge to the look!  I love the dramatic approach to each of our themes.

Veronica from Cid Style File  brings some sass and sexy to her look! I am in love with this dress on her and bring some edgy with the leather jacket  and booties. Get it girl!

Jenni from A Pocketful of Polka Dots takes this theme to a new level she creates a preppy and fun look with the theme and adds some awesome pattern mixing at the same time. I am also totally in love with her shoes.  Well done my friend .

Samantha from Fake Fabulous created a look where she took a vintage leather skirt and lace top and adding current trends like the pom poms and the colored tights making it more exciting . I am loving the hair this month lady !

Ann from Kremb de la Kremb  always surprises me with her take on the theme I love how she went with the neutral blush tones and added the fun and shoes to the mix. She is always so playful and creative with her look.

Diane  from Fashion on the 4th Floor who is last but certainly not least looks simply amazing love the leather shorts and they look great with her awesome  legs and adding the feminine white lace shirt and the cute lace up booties she definitely looks like model in New York !   Diane you are on point with this look girl!

Well that wraps up this months edition with the "Fab 40's " I can't wait to see what Febuary brings our way !

As always I want to thank you for stopping in! It's always my pleasure to have you!

Valentines Inspired Look Bold Stripes

As we get a little closer to the Valentine's Day I wanted to share another look inspired by this day of love but I also wanted to touch on the the importance of  showing love to your ourselves because so many times we are last on our own list .  I have found that when you take time out to love on yourself you are much better equipped to give love and attention to the other people in our life .

Let's start with this look . I simply adore this skirt well first of all  because it has bold stripes and that is like my serious jam but it was that open flirty front with a shorter part in the center that sold me on this fabulous skirt.  I mean how much cuter can you get ? The front certainly takes the skirt to an entirely different level. As I have said many times before it's all about the details .  I added the black ruffle top and my studded red bow belt and than you have flirty , sassy and stylish Valentine's look.

Black and White with a pop of  color and red is perfect of  Valentine's Day

During this time where there is such focus on the word love  .. Take time out to LOVE  on yourself by speaking positive words when you look at  yourself  or take out time for you do things that bring joy to your own heart .  It may be something as simple as taking an hour out of your day to read a few chapters of your favorite book or maybe it's treating yourself to a massage once a month. Whatever makes you feel happy and content do more of that!  If you want love you have to first learn how to treat yourself .

Thank you so much for stopping by I am so honored that you took time out of your day to come visit .  Wishing you a love and happiness during this season and the entire year .

The Day to Night Valentine's Day Look

Oh what a fun time of the year so much love in the air and if that fails than there is always candy .. I'm just saying but it's a great time to play dress up with pinks and reds  . I am now on to my second Valentines inspired look and this one is that can be taken to the office and than out for a night on the town. I just love when I can take one look from work and straight to fun after work look because why waste time rushing home ?

I saw this jumpsuit online at New York and Company and really the photo didn't do it any justice but honey when I got in the mail I was instantly smitten.  Now I am pear shaped girl and it is difficult to get a jumpsuit that fits me on the top and the bottom. I mean the struggle is real.. . What I love about this jumpsuit is the knit type material and the tie on the back give you the option to tighten up the top because not all of us are blessed in that area and this girl is one of them.  I added this bow belt with the studs to give a little of pretty edgy vibe

I would totally rock this to work with the jacket which I love by the way it gives you that military vibe but the playfulness of the jumpsuit and belt adds some feminine flair and I always love adding a pop of color to black and white look it just brings it to life .

The sexy cutout back makes it the perfect look for Valentine's Date night !

Are you ladies loving this jumpsuit as much as I am ? I have a feeling that this will be in regular rotation in my spring wardrobe :)

Valentine's Day Lunch Look

I just love Valentine's Day season  the day it's self is fine but I simply am obsessed with the color pallet it's so fun to incorporate these hues into your wardrobe.  I was so fortunate to have a daughter in late February because I could get all those pink birthday decoration on clearance. You know me the frugal girl not just in fashion but every area of my life.

I decided that I would create a very easy but chic looking outfit that would be perfect for you and your sweetie perhaps to go to a romantic lunch or maybe to the movies and the beauty of this look it that was at a great price point! Hooray !

The dress is one that I found on clearance for $7 at H&M and it was not in my size a little to big but that works fine with a shift dress when you have pear shaped girl like myself . I solved that little issue by cinching in the waist with a belt and there you go !  I added my beige sweater that is really been on rotation a lot in the fall and winter and my over the knee boots that I was able to wear without tights since it's in the 60's in Indiana right now . I know the 60's this time of the year really unheard of but I will take it gladly.

                       Dress - H &M ;M  Sweater - Jcpenney  Boots - Target , Bag Kohl's

What are you plans for Valentines day ? Will you be dressing up or taking a more casual approach either way I just know you all will be looking fabulous !

Thank you stopping by it's always my pleasure ! See you next time

Blushing in January

I am girl that is normally known for everything fun and bright but I do have a soft and ultra feminine side to my personality . I am great fan of the blush tone paired with tan a pallet for every season.  I love the way Jennifer Lopez rocks the blush and neutral tone looks so effortless and very chic.

It was love at first sight when I saw this blush tone lace dress at Tar-Jay a few months ago . I was a little surprised to see it in the store in late November but I loved the feminine detail and decided to style it for the colder months by added a long sweater and my animal print booties because after all leopard is a neutral . I love the fact that I can carry this piece into the spring and summer by losing the sweater and changing the shoe to a great sandal or pump. I know for sure this will be a regular in my rotation.

What about you are you a fan of the neutral pallet ? How you do incorporate that into you wardrobe?
