The Fab 40's in Color

Well, it's that time of the month that get to collaborate with my Fashionista friends the Fab 40's.  The Fab 40's are a group of International bloggers that come together once a month and give their interpretation of the theme that is selected every month. This month it was the lovely Anne from Kremb De La Kremb turn to select the theme for May and she decided on our favorite color!

When I tried to narrow down my favorite color it was surprisingly difficult. If you would have asked me back in the day I would have said for sure pink but now in my 40's I realize that this Fashionista has many favorite colors it really kind of depends on my mood.  I finally decided on Yellow because to me it says happy and cheerful and after experiencing almost a week of rain in Indiana I thought I would bring my own sunshine.

This yellow vest has really been in constant rotation in my wardrobe. I just love pieces that I can use over and over again and can make my look fresh every time.  Adding my yellow block heels and bag to this fabulous orange Victoria Beckum romper makes this girl feel bright and oh so cheery!

If you are a girl that loves the idea of a romper but aren't quite sure about showing that much leg       a longer vest is an excellent option.

The great thing about this romper is that I got it on clearance for $10 at Target. Oh, how I love Tar-Jay let me count the ways,  and let me tell you it is the best $10 that I have spent in a long time such quality material and just love the vibrant color.

Now it's time to see what colors the other Fab 40's are loving!

Anne - Kremb De La Kremb

Anne chose this month's theme which I have to say that I am very pleased with and she opted for this lovely shade of blue in this gorgeous velvet dress. This gorgeous picture by the water really looks like it should be in a magazine. I love the way she kept the velvet theme by added this super cute tennis shoes. Love it lady

                                               Sheela - Sheela Writes

Well, Sheela brings it again this month with this fabulous mono- chromatic look.  I am so sad to say that this is Sheela's last time with the Fab40's and can I just say she is going out with a bang. I am so going to miss her kick ass approach to each months theme and her on point shoe game.  She does athleisure style with perfection and makes it super sexy. Going to miss you beautiful!

                                                      Samantha - Fake Fabulous

Samantha looking oh so pretty in shades of pink.  I am such a girly girl so these shade of pink are right up my alley.  Love the floral top and that bag is amazing. Loving your look this month beauty!

Jennie -A Pocketful of Polka Dots

Let me just say that Jennie looks amazing in this dress!  Jennie picked her favorite color green and it looks stunning on her with her gorgeous hair color. Love the green bag and shoes giving it that finishing touch of fabulous! You go, girl!

Diane always looks so chic and put together in whatever she wears. She selected pink and I am loving the soft pink camouflage top with the cold shoulders and adds some sexiness with the gorgeous blush block heels. Another amazing look my friend you just always get it right.

                                                    Veronica - Cid Style File

Veronica keeps it casually cute in her overalls. If you ever thought that you can't wear overalls in your 40's that she has definitely proved you wrong she looks adorable. Veronica chose maroon as her favorite color with this amazing bomber jacket! Supercute girl!

                                        Catherine -Not Dressed As Lamb

Catherine is our guest blogger of the month and she selected blush and light pink.  She keeps it ultra feminine with floral cropped banks and accents of blush. I am loving the gorgeous blush shoes and even a hint of blush in the sunnies. Thank you, Catherine, for bringing even more fabulous to the Fab 40's

Do you have a favorite color? Are you like me it depends on your mood?

A Colorful Surprise

I would describe myself as having a colorful personality and it really comes through with choices my fashion. I just love vibrant and colorful pieces they just make me feel happy and this fabulous dress from Sammy Dress is a unique dress that makes quite the statement. I wore this out with my daughter and the compliments kept coming and the amazing thing is this dress in under $20

I wasn't sure how the quality of this dress was going to be but I have to say it well worth the money and would have paid more for it.  The fabric has a little stretch to it which makes it nice and I just love the vintage look of this dress I feel so ladylike but the pattern gives it a modern flair

I added these tassel earrings to keep it sassy!

I have had these yellow block sandals on constant rotation!

Ruffles for Days

One my absolute favorite stores to shop at is New York and Company. I mean we go way back like way back to the days they were called Lerner. Does anyone else remember that or am I really telling my age?  I always get so excited when the new Eva Mendes line comes out so stylish and sophisticated . So as you can imagine I was over the moon when I was one of the daily winners for the Eva Spring Style contest and one of the finalist for chance to meet the lovely Eva herself and not mention a shopping spree and what girl doesn't love a shopping spree?

If was love at first sight when I saw this fabulous skirt  from the new Eva line at New York and Company  it has movement and is very unique and that is exactly caught my eye and kept it.
I am pear shaped and this worked well on my body type .

Now can we talk about this gorgeous belt?  I am currently obsessed with yellow and this satin bow belt is everything I knew I could not wait on this so it went home with me.

I love the ruffle detail of this skirt and will wear it with denim shirt for a more
dressed down look and play around with different colors there are just so many possibilities!

Bring on the Sunshine

I just love easy summer like days even though, it's technically still spring but the weather this past week have been  Summer like.  This time of the year I just love effortless outfits that still look fabulous so for me a gorgeous skirt with just simple tank top or tee makes this girl so happy.   I just love bright and cheery colors they are just a mood booster in my mind.  This vibrant yellow skirt with this amazing tribal design is just gorgeous and stopped this fashionista right in her tracks. The lovely things about this gorgeous skirt it was under $30.  How sweet is that?

This was very first time ordering from Zaful and was concerned about
the sizing and quality but I was pleasantly surprised. I knew this
skirt had no stretch in the waist so I went a size up and it fit perfectly.

In love with color combo I decided to pull out the red and pink hues
with this fabulous bag and my favorite sandals that are on
                            constant rotation.

Changed it up a little and used the belt as a headband.

If you are more into the floral pattern than this would be a
gorgeous option for you (here)  Also check out the amazing

Pantene Gold Series

I went natural about 4 years ago and let me tell you the struggle was real.  I have tried so many products I think I am low key a product junkie so I am always open to try new things so I was so excited when Pantene wanted to send me 8 of their products to try out .  So this is a sponsored post but the opinion is my own.

I can remember growing up being a curly girl was not such a fun thing there was just hardly any product offerings for girls with hair like mine but I so glad we now have options. I love how Pantene consulted African Americans when creating this product line because we know what works well in our hair.

I have a extremely dry hair the hair mask was just heaven for these curls seem to bring them back to life.

My routine started with the Truly Natural Co -Wash  I used the Repairing Hair Mask and left that on for 45 mins and sat under the dryer with a plastic cap than rinsed and added the Moisture Boost Conditioner and combed through rinsed again. I sectioned my hair and added the Leave in Detangling Milk and lastly applied the Curl Defining Pudding.

I was happy with the results my hair was soft and curls where well defined most importantly I felt like I was doing something  good for my hair.

You could check out the Gold Series line (here)

As always I want to thank you for stopping by it means so much!'

Connecting the Dots

Polka dots are such a fun edition to  your wardrobe . They had this classic vibe but make the look so fun and playful at the same time.  Do you remember when Julia Roberts wore that polka dot dress to the Derby that is the exact moment my fascination for polka dots dressed began.

What I love about this dress( aside of it being under $25 ) is the off the shoulder design and poofy type sleeves. Such a flattering dress on almost body types. I decided get polka dot wasted in this look by adding the polka dot choker and the scarf on my orange Vera Bradley bag.

Dress (here), Shoes (sim), Bag (sim) Choker (here)

How about you Fashionista's are do you love polka dots much as
I do  ?   This dress is the perfect way to wear the trend without breaking
                             the bank .

As always I want to thank you for stopping by it means so much to me.

Until next time my fabulous friends !
