Spring Dress Love under $50

The calendar says it's springtime but Mother Nature has some ideas of her own here in the Hoosier state.  The past week we have had snow flurries, rain and just a little bit of sun. I am so ready for the warmer temps but until then I will put my focus on some dresses that have gotten my attention and the good news is they are all under $50.  You know I like to keep it reasonable! So let's get started, shall we?

                                               Yellow Gingham

                                                                       Dress (here)

I am such a sucker for classic gingham and typically I find classic black and white or blue and white but when I saw this yellow and white vision of loveliness I knew I must add this to the cart immediately. This may or may not be my Easter dress!  You can find the dress (here)

                                                      Rainbow Vibes

                                                                     Dress (here)

This dress is so darling. The colors caught my attention and the cut of the dress with the off the shoulder effect made this girl swoon. I could totally see me wearing this to many spring and summer events with basically any color shoe!

                                                    Delightful Orange

                                                                     Dress (here)
Eva Mendez knows her dresses I have said this many times before. This strapless dress is so sophisticated and I just love the structure. It gives me Grace Kelly old Hollywood vibes all day long. I think this would be just stunning with a large hat and sunglasses so elegant.  The wonderful thing about this is that there are two other color options if Orange just do it for you.

                                                              Polka Dots

                                                                       Dress (here)

I love a classic polka dot dress and I love that little dress takes the classic pattern and add a little modern twist with the asymmetrical bottom. I love that you can wear this with cute tennis shoe like in the photo or add a pair of sandals to dress it up a bit.

                                                                 Hi-Lo Maxi

                                                                         Dress (here)

I absolutely love this dress I actually have a similar one that I purchased last year.  A high low maxi gives you the feel of a maxi but you are able to show off all those cute sandals!  I am all about that life. This dress has a modest cutout back which makes it a must-have dress for the Spring and Sumer season.

                                                     Ruffle Off the Shoulder

                                                                        Dress (here)

This dress is darling and it's from the Fashion to Figure line at New York and Company. I love the high low bottom and the flattering off one shoulder is darling.  This is another dress that you could dress down with some cute gym shoes.

                                                                 \Polka Dots

                                                                        Dress (here)

Another super cute polka dot dress from none other than JCPenney. I love that JCPenney has been really upping their game when it comes to plus size. This gorgeous dress with gathered sleeves and flattering cut would be a great choice for any occasion. Adding a pop of color with shoes or a bag would definitely take this look to a new level.

                                     Cute and Casual Stripes

                                                                         Dress (here)

This figure-flattering cute and casual dress is little effort but the outcome is amazing. This would that go to summer dress that you can slip on without doing too much. I think this would look so cute with a pair of pants underneath.

                                                               Dress (plus) Misses (here)

I absolutely love everything about this dress and would be perfect for a wedding or a brunch. The classic gingham but the layered ruffles make it just gorgeous.

Well, that wraps up my favorites for the week.  Which was your favorite dress? Please let me know in the comments.

As always I want to thank you for stopping by it means so much!

The Fab 40's Over the Rainbow

The Fab 40's have returned for yet another theme!  Now if this is your first time here the Fab 40's is a group of International bloggers who come together each month and create our own interpretation of a particular theme! This month it was my turn to pick the theme and our guest blogger.  The theme I chose was " Rainbow Theme"  where we would incorporate colors of the rainbow into our look.

I thought this was a great way to bring some much-needed color into this cold Midwest weather.  Because if you are anything like me you are over these cold and dreary days!

I started with this gorgeous orange and white striped skirt from the Eva Mendez line . I love everything about this skirt the style, fit and quality are amazing.

I love that I was able to build on the skirt and incorporate other colors to this look

I am hoping the bright and bold colors would encourage warmer weather to come to the Hoosier State! I know wishful thinking because let me tell you it was a cold day when I shot these photos. I don't know how the super models do it?

Jasilika from Jasilika's Faith Walk is our guest blogger that I have selected for the month.I have been following her for awhile and I absolutely love her amazing style.  Well, she really knocked this one out of the park I am loving the full-blown rainbow that she is giving us. I have this same skirt and would have never thought to get that matching sweater. Love it my Midwest sis!

Sheela from Sheela Writes is just bringing it this month well I guess she does every month!  Just when I think she can't amaze me anymore with her looks there she goes again. I love the boldness and unapologetic vibes this look is giving me!  Let's not even talk about those boots I don't call her the shoe queen for nothing! Get it, Sheela, you are killing it.

Jennie from A Pocketful of Polka Dots Jennie is giving us colors of the rainbow and sleek sophisticated vibes with this look. I love how she added the colorful scarf to the mix keeping it classy but the still keeping it classy. Love this colorful combo Jennie!

Ann from Kremb de la Kremb always is giving her own unique spin to the theme. I love the yellow sequin dress and adding the denim jacket to make it more casual and let's not forget those supercute red sunnies!  The rainbow shoes and socks are the icing in top of the fashion cake. You go Ann!

Suzi from Suzi Turner is killing the color blocking. I love all the bright and vibrant hues they just make me so happy.  This look is just sophisticated and fun all at the same time. Suzy looks like she should be in a movie in this well put together outfit! Love it, girl!

It's been another fun time with these fabulous ladies! I can't wait to see what April brings us!

As always I would like to thank you for stopping by it means so much to me!

Street Chic in Floral

With Spring just around the corner, I keep trying to find ways to add colorful pieces to my wardrobe and what says spring has sprung more than florals?  I am becoming such a fan of the athleisure look and this jogging suit from the Project Runway line at JCPenney takes this trend to another level.   Now when I first spotted this I didn't think it was the look for me until my fashionista friend Latoya convinced to give it a try and it was I instantly in love.

I love getting out my comfort zone and discovering that I actually discover it's a trend that I actually like that is why it's good to shop with people that inspire you to try new things.  There is nothing more fun going shopping a good friend that loves finding the deals as much as you do.

As much as I love this look the fact that it was at was at an amazing price point made it look any better! LOL, I got this entire look from JCPenney for under $50 and that includes the shoes! So I got an on-trend look with little investment.

The heels give it a sexy street chic JLO vibe and take this casual look to a date night look without doing too much.

How are you fashionista's getting your wardrobe spring ready? Are you trying new trends that are getting you out of your comfort zone?

You can shop this look below and the jogging suit is currently on clearance! So happy shopping my fabulous friends.

Gingham Style

Nothing says spring to me quite like the gingham pattern! I love that fact that I am seeing this classic pattern with modern twists in the styling.  It just gives a fresh twist and gets this fashionista all excited for the warmer temps.

I mean when I love something I go hard so let's just do gingham overload by wearing gingham on             gingham with this darling trench that I picked up at such a deal I might add (here)

What I love the most about the classic black and white gingham pattern is that adding a pop of color is always an option so I decided to add my pop with the color red.  I have been in search of red bootie and I was lucky enough to score these for a great price (here)

The gingham pattern caught my eye when I saw this darling skirt (here)but the layer of ruffles is what really prompted me to add it to my cart.  This is exactly what  I was talking about when I said classic pieces with some added modern vibes!

This super cute bag (here) with pearls had me at hello and it was on clearance at my local JCPenney! It was on clearance and all clearance was additional 40% so I swooped this bag up for under $10 and I thought it was the perfect addition to this look!

How about you my fashionista friends? Are you loving the gingham as much as I do?  You can see all items below for this look as well of some of my other favorite gingham pieces. I mean there is gingham everything!

As always I want to thank you for stopping by my little piece of the internet it means so much to me!

Saying Yass to the Trench Dress!

There is nothing I love more than great quality statement pieces that I can add to my wardrobe and style various ways.  When I saw this trench dress at Tarjay ( Target)  I knew it was a piece that I wanted to try out.  The selling point for this was the quality of the piece and I love the A-line cut which worked great on my pear-shaped body.

This trench vest is from the "A New Day " line at Target. I just love that line fashion forward items that are still classic.  When I go to Target the Who What Wear collection and this line are my first stop. I am very impressed with the quality of this piece and can totally see me rocking it so many ways!

I decided to add my these adorable Candies Booties that are even more gorgeous in person! Funny story about these boots. I ordered these from Kohl's online to pick up in the store which I did and went to put them on to take photos and low and behold I had 2 lefts!  I mean literally had two left feet!  But luckily I was able to exchange them for the right shoes! Thank goodness!

The pops of blue are just I needed to add some color and bring out the blues in the booties!

This trench will definitely be making many appearances in the wardrobe with these upcoming spring looks but also I will take this baby into the fall. I mean this with a turtleneck and over the knee boots would be pretty amazing!

How about you Fashionista's are you loving the trench dress trend as much as I do?  You can get details below for all the deets of these pieces.

Spring Dress Fever

Oh, I have seriously been having Spring on the brain for the past few weeks. I am dreaming of sunshine on my face and pretty dresses and shoes.  I can remember growing up when I couldn't wait to get my Easter dress with the pretty white shoes and gloves you couldn't tell this girl nothing!  I can remember not being able to sleep because I was so excited about my outfit.  I guess some things never change lol!

Every year I have that one dress that is my absolute favorite that just seems to stand out the most and last year it was this Nichole Miller beauty. The gorgeous pastel abstract pattern had me at hello and the little cutout in the back sealed the deal!   Luckily if you missed this dress than JCPenney came through with a very similar one you can check it out (here) and what's amazing is after the coupon right now it is under $50  now that is a sweet deal!

Every girl needs that dress that makes them feel amazing when she walks out that door to gives that feeling " I have arrived " and the awesome thing about that it doesn't have to cost a lot of money!

I like to shop at department stores that get the whole concept of we as women all want to feel fabulous no matter what price point we can afford.

When a dress gives fabulous coming and going for me it's certainly a must-have!

The perfect dress for me is one that gives me a lot of twirls!

As we get closer to Springtime I wanted to share some of my favorite spring dresses and of course, they won't break that bank account.  You can click on the photo's below and they will take you right to the link!

The great thing about spring is that there are always new and fresh things on the horizon whether it is in your closet or just in life in general. It is a time to start anew and I am looking forward to it!  Let me know what trends you are looking forward to rocking in this new season?

Thank you so much for stopping by it means so much to me!
