The Fab 40's Mad for Plaid

Well, it is that time of the month that I get the honor of collaborating with a group of bloggers from all parts of the globe and give an interpretation of a theme. Well, this month it was my turn to select the theme and since it's officially fall I thought what is more fall than plaid?

I selected this high low shirt dress (here)that I absolutely love with the small plaid patterned and I decided to add a little pop of red to the mix. Red just adds a little drama to the look and this girl loves some drama with her fashion.

I love these sock booties (here) not only are they super cute but they are so comfortable because those days of me wearing shoes that kill my feet are long gone. Love these booties so much that I got them in hot pink also.

I love a beret since I was very young my issue now is my hair is so big that I wrestle with the idea of them looking ridiculous on me. I had this one since last year and decided that I actually like with big hair and all! I thought it gave me a little military or school girl vibe which I am here for either.

I could totally see me styling this so many ways like with jeans or with booties and tights I really love when I find items that I love that I can style so many different ways.

Canesha from Crowned Canesha is our guest blogger for the month. Not only did I get to pick the theme but it was also my turn to pick the guest blogger and I knew I wanted it to be Canesha. I love her amazing style and her blog. I am loving these plaid wide leg pants with the tee so chic and darling! Such a pleasure having her this month.

Sheela from Sheela Writes is just giving me so much life with this mixed plaid look! I just love how she always just comes with the unexpected and it's always fabulous! She always comes to slay and I'm here for it!

Jennie from A Pocketful of Polka Dots giving us a fun and vibrant look right down to the glasses every detail is well thought out and just looks amazing. Love your interpretation of this theme.

Suzy from Suzy Turner is giving us so much cuteness with this look. I love the plaid top and adding some boho fringe to the mix. I love how she creates such a casual but stylish look.

Shelbee from Shelbee from the Edge giving us grunge/school girl vibes and I love it! I just love when we are able to show different sides of our personality with fashion!  The pigtails are adorable Shelbee! Love it!

Well, another month with the Fab 40's. Looking forward to seeing what October has in store beside my birthday of course.  You can shop my look below.

Fall and Plaid

Plaid and fall are two things that just go together and I am always here for it. I think it takes me back to those back to school days when I was young.  So when I spot plaid patterns I guess I  get nostalgic and gravitate towards them immediately. I love that both of these looks are plaid but entirely different styles but hey don't we all have different sides to our personality?

Professional in Plaid

I just love 2 pc outfits because there are so many styling options you can wear separate or together so cheers to creating a larger wardrobe.

I added this burgundy belt that I purchased also from New York and Company last year that I still love to incorporate into my wardrobe.

These pumps from the Christian Siriano line at Payless are my absolute favorite pumps(here) right now so when I saw the ombre Sangria and black version I knew they were a must for my fall wardrobe

                                                      Fun in Plaid

I knew the moment I saw this plaid top/dress that it was going to go home with me! I love the bold color print and one of my favorite color combo. Black and white with a pop of red!  I decided to wear this with a black catsuit giving it a sleek look but could totally rocking this with jeans or with a body dress underneath.

Once again I wearing the habit pump by Christian Siriano in black (here)and this one even comes in wide width which makes these girls feet so happy! LOL

Adding the black and white purse and red sunglasses completing this fun weekend look

You can shop both of these looks below

As always I want to thank you for stopping by it means so much to me!

Classic Shirt dress - Double the Fun

Hello, Lovelies! Here we are starting a brand new month and on the verge of starting a new season so excited for a fresh new start and also new fall fashions!  You know that this girl is a Fashionista on a budget so I love finding pieces that I am able to style various ways so I can get more bang for my buck.

When I spotted this colorful striped shirt dress I fell in love with the colors a perfect piece to transition you right into fall weather and at $20 this made this dress even more amazing. I ended up wearing this vibrant dress to work and styled it with a pair of slip off striped sandals that I picked at an amazing deal and lucky for me it was a perfect match! \

I actually wore this dress to the office just like this. I felt that the sandals added an amazing touch to this look and allowed it to be office friendly. I could also see me adding pumps or booties when the weather gets a little cooler which I feel is right around the corner.

As much as I loved wearing this as a dress I just knew that I had to style totally different giving it a fun and fashion-forward vibe that is perfect for date night or a great weekend look and that is when I decided to wear it as a jacket.

Using the tie as a scarf gave me total chic vibes and I just love taking simple pieces such as a belt and adding something extra making this $20 dress even more multifunctional.

I also used this tie as a belt or even tieing it the bag would have been another great option and you know us women love options!  Don't be afraid to experiment after all fashion is your art it is meant to be done your way! No rules!

As always I want to thank you for stopping by it mean so much to me!  Stay tuned for all things fall fashion coming soon Curlybyrdie Chirps.
