Holiday Statement

Hello, Lovelies!  We are under two weeks from Christmas and I still trying to get myself to feel more festive.  I have just been on the go for the last few weeks that I just can't seem to get it together I think it's partly because I feel like I am running on empty with all the excitement of the holidays.

It's the busiest time of the year for me but it's also the most fabulous. During the holiday' everything is just so extra! I mean extra rich food, extra eggnog, and the fashion is just so over the top and I love every single minute of it.

I love a holiday skirt that just does all the talking this gorgeous hi-low bubble skirt certainly is a conversation starter.  I instantly fell in love with it the moment I saw it online. I mean what's not to love it has all the trends that I am so loving right now.  It's high low, there is pattern mixing and it's a bubble skirt. What more can a girl ask for?

Do you remember when bubble skirts were the rage? I remember I was a freshman in high school and I had to have one and actually wore mine to our church Christmas service. It's funny I can remember that exact outfit from like 30 years ago but if you asked me what I had for lunch yesterday I have no idea. LOL.

I am such a girly girl and the movement of this skirt is just so amazing it makes me feel regal but gives me such a fun feeling when I wear it. At first, I thought this skirt is one that I would only wear one time and then back in the closet it goes but I could totally see me wearing this so many ways. Just adding a white button down and pumps will give it more of a refined look also a denim skirt and some red booties giving me a more casual sexy vibe.

I decided to style this with my hunter green velvet top and green booties to get me in a festive mood.

If this outfit doesn't get you into the holiday spirit than the decor at the Botanical Conservatory located here in Fort Wayne.  As a fashion blogger in the Midwest, it gets quite challenging to shoot photos outside in these crazy weather conditions so my photographer suggested this beautiful location so pretty and warm! LOL

I especially loved this little room that put me in mind of one of my Grandmothers homes such classic decor from back in the day. It reminded me of when I was a little girl

.

Holidays are the perfect time to push the boundaries and add some festive glam. A statement skirt is a great way to add glam and excitement to your holiday look.

What item do you wear to up your fashion game during the holiday season?

I want to thank you for stopping by it means so much to me.

Holiday Inspiration with the Fab Five Fashionista's

Hello, my lovelies!  We are now in full holiday mode right now at least I am and so are my four fashionista sisters so we decided that would be the theme for our current collaboration.  It is the time of year that I feel like I am almost always on the go and trying to figure out what I should be wearing all the holiday festivities.  What I love most about this collaboration is the variety of looks that we came up which makes it even more fun.

I decided to go all plaid everything because I make no secret of my obsession for this pattern and I just feel that red plaid particularly gets me super excited this time of the year.  This is the second time that I have styled this amazing top I mean I love it that much it just brings the drama. I knew the moment I saw it online that I had to have it and I also knew it was going to sell out and it did.

The first time I styled it with black ponte pants but when I saw the red pants online I just knew that I needed them in life.

This look is one that I would wear to just about any holiday event. I would rock this for a family gathering or even to a Christmas concert. The long top and fitted pants allow me to feel chic and in the fashion know without a lot of effort and during this time of the year I need something easy with minimal effort.

You know that I am all about shopping on the budget so when I spotted these leopard pumps at my local Goodwill for only $4.50 now it doesn't get much better than that except when you find and Express clutch for $2 from my local Gordmans.  I just love when I am able to score items that I actually love for such amazing prices.

Now let's check out how my fashionista's friends and see their holiday inspired looks!

                                                  Ayesha Emanee's Closet

I just love this chic and sophisticated look the high waist pants and adding a little bit of sexiness with the off the off the shoulder sweater and the rose gold booties for the win. Such a gorgeous look.

Lydia - Chic to Street Style Mom

Lydia is bringing us stylish and sexy to this holiday look. One of my favorite color combos is green with hints of god she did a fabulous job keeping this look sleek and gorgeous and holiday ready.

                                                     Yolanda Curly Petite Renee

Yoland is giving the people classic Christmas vibes with little red number and she is doing it perfectly. I love the Chanel inspired bag giving us classic elements to this look. Looking fabulous my dear.

Reyni - Curls and High Heels

Reyni is looking lovely in this gold and black jumpsuit. It looks as if Reyni is ready for any event that the holiday season throws her way. She absolutely killed this look I love it girl!

Well, it's been another fun collaboration with my Fashionista sisters! Thank you for so much for stopping by!
Wishing you a holiday filled with joy and happiness and dressing up is always fun but the reason for the season far exceeds that!

Sequins are Life

Hello, my Lovelies!  I am officially in holiday mode and currently obsessed with all things sequins. You have to excuse me but this happens about this time every year.  Nothing says holiday and glamour quite like sequins.

What I love most about this sequin skirt (here) is all of the colors and which means it looks great with any shade. I chose black this time around but I can see me styling so many different ways!

I shopped my own closet for the rest of this look which I am trying to do more often.  The bag is actually one that I had picked up from the goodwill for $2.50 a while back. I really can't believe all the treasures that I am able to find when thrifting. You have never gone thrifting you are missing out so many treasures for much less.

There is something about the holiday season that makes you want to add some sparkle to your life. Maybe it's the holiday decor that inspires us. So my star, in this case, the bottom of the tree are these Rose Gold booties that I picked up last year from Express. I really don't know what I will do when these wear out because I love them so much.

The funny this when I saw this skirt I had already purchased another sequin skirt (here)which I love also but was smitten with the Gabriel Union and I had Rewards cash to spend I justified that purchase. LOL I decided to add denim to this look to give it a fun and casual vibe.

What about you, my fashionista friends do you add some extra bling to your looks during the holiday season? Are you loving the sequin trend as much as I do?  You can shop my look below and sone of my other favorites in every size. Let me know your favorite

As always I want to thank you for stopping by wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

Holiday Best

Oh, we are in midst of Holiday season which means there are so many events that are going on and sometimes I find myself like many other women asking the question " What am I going to wear?"  When searching for holiday items to add to my closet I like to find pieces that are versatile that I can use when the holiday season is over.

One the first places I go to when it comes to holiday dresses would  New York and Company especially the Eva Mendes line because she always brings it with her holiday collection. I love classic designs that still are modern and on trend which fits my style perfectly.

This wrap sweater dress caught my eye immediately for a few reasons. First of all, I love a wrap dress just it's so flattering on all body types and it was sweater dress also not mention the stripes and the subtle sparkle sounds like to perfect holiday dress to me!

I decided to go bold with this statement necklace that was actually a Christmas present from last year. During this time of the year, I like to go a little more over the top I mean after all its the most festive time of year. I am totally saying that in my Mariah Carey voice Darling!

And come of nothing says the festive quite like some metallic shoes! So these pumps that I picked up at Target last year on clearance for like $8 came in quite handy. I love to shop all the holiday accesories at the end of the season so that I am able to use the following year!

If you haven't heard that a circle bag is quite the rage this year as far as purse trends and I was lucky enough to scoop this beauty at my local Target store for under $15 and I love it just the right size for your wallet and a cell phone and don't forget the lipstick.

Where do you ladies like to shop for your holiday looks? Are you having a hard time finding something that you like? I have added some of my other favorite pieces below. Let me know which one fits your style .
