Feeling Thankful

I feel very fortunate to get to spend  the holiday with my family. I love this time of year getting all dressed up and getting together . I made sure I wore something comfortable because I knew I would be indulging in a big feast. This Jennifer Lopez dress is so light and comfortable . I wanted this shirt dress when it first came out but it was $52.00 and that was a no.... so I waited and ended up getting it for $12. Another example of paintence being a virture.

Wonder Woman Boots Wednesday

Whenever I wear tall boots with heels I think of Wonder Woman. I think they make you feel strong , sexy and powerful.. Lol.. I need some Super Powers to get through this day. They day before the long weekend always seems to drag on for me. I had said I wouldn't go out the day after Thanksgiving but my sister is pulling me in and believe me it doesn't take much.. We decided our first stop would be Macys on Thanksgiving night ( yeah I am one of those people) and than hit up Jcpennys for their $19.99 boot special and than I think I will end up at H&M at 5am. Are any of you fashionista's heading out for some shopping? If so where are you going?

Monday Morning Madness

Starting this morning at the  eye doctor which is never a good thing. After an emergency appointment Saturday I have to get some follow up pics taken. I decided to cheer myself up and do a quick photo opp on the way. I love this skirt  it is the perfect midi length has the perfect amount of swing. It makes me feel like such a lady. Sunday Scores

After a little bit of  a stressful weekend I couldn't forget about my Sunday Scores!  I was able to find a few jewelry steals for my daughter and I at Windsor. I knew my daughter would flip for the eagle necklace as well aa the wolf bracelet and these were priced at 2/5 ! I also was able to score this Kensie striped skirt for $10 after using my $20 off coupon @ Carson's. The reg price was $59...now thats what I'm talking about! My last find is from Target . The are currently having 40% off Mossimo and Merona sweaters and jeans. This ended up costing $15. So how did u fashionistas do?  Any great steals u want to dish about?

Cold Saturday

It is about 25 degrees in good ole Indiana. So please excuse the look on my face.,. I was freezing my butt off! The past week I was training at my corp office so I was not able to get a lot of blogging in and I really misssed it and missed u guys. Last week was full of training and eating. Why they find the need to shove all this food in  our face is beyond me and an even greater mystery is why do I endulge ...lol

Day 2 in Ohio

Different Kind of Monday

I am a little homesick this Monday. I am in out of town for work so I am spending my Monday in a hotel  room watching Dancing with the stars by my lonesome.  I guess I should take advantage of my quiet time . Sunday Scores!

I am so excited to dish about my finds for the week in my first segmant of " Sunday Scores" If u missed my post from Friday . Sunday scores highlights some awesome deals that I recently run across. It may be fashion for myself or my kiddies or it could be anything and I would love if would share your Scores in comments because a deal is even sweeter when u brag about it!

My 1st score I came across was at Meijer. Meijer now carries Jessica Simpson. I first saw these cute little clutches and they were $25 now I am thinking I am not paying $25 for a clutch from Meijer so I waited and ended up running across this babies for $6. So it was time to make these mine!

The 2nd score I came across was this cute little dress from Carson's.  I happened to be in the store just browsing and ran across this dress that was marked down to $50.99 from $69.00 when I had them scan it the price ended up being $9.97 . Now that is why I always scan. U could end up with a pleasant surprise.  I have on many occasions.  Did you guys have any big scores u would like to dish about?

Road trip Saturday !

Had a great road trip with the family ..We went to Amish Country for lunch and went to the bakery after that to top it off. Can I just say the food was superb! The atmosphere was lovely . It felt good to get away from the city and go somewhere relaxing. Of course I had to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and take a few pics.

Houndstooth and Corduroy .. Oh My! + New Sunday Score Segment!

I remember when I was growing up my mom used to always buy me corduroy pants for the winter. I was not a happy camper.. LOL. I think this is honestly the first pair or corduroys that I have purchased since being grown. I know I have bought a few corduroy skirts in the past but not pants.  I think what caught my attention was the hounds tooth pattern. I was skeptical but I tried them on and OMG... they are so comfortable and the fit is fabulous!  That's saying something with all this junk in the trunk.. LOL. I decided to change it up a little and add this denim olive green jacket and animal print scarf. I am happy with the results and couldn't wait to share.

Also I wanted to share some news . I decided to start a segment on this Sunday called " Sunday Scores" in honor of  NFL Sunday.. believe me the discussion will be far from football.. Sweater Dress .. oh yes!

It's no secret I love me some dresses and one of my winter /fall favorites would be a sweater dress!  I got this dress last year at Kohls' when that Narcisco Rodriguez line came out but I waited until .. you guessed  it went on clearance! I love the thickness of this material and I sure had to wait till weather was pretty cold to pull this off. This morning was not a brisk chilly morning.. it is just plain cold!  While watching the national weather it showed the temp in LA was supposed to be in the 80's .. my son says  " Mom I need to be in LA" My reply was " u and me both baby!"

Some other news I got my first Guest Post on Midwest Style Bloggers. I am so excited about this. I am hoping this leads to me meeting other bloggers in my area . I would love to have blogger events here in good old Indiana! I hope you wonderful people are enjoying your Wednesday. I see you

If I like something I tend to buy them in different colors and with this sweater only being $10 ..I had to pick up another one. I decided to wear it with jeans and a cream tank top. I love the rich color of this sweater . I paired this with my leopard booties and scarf.

Casual Friday in the Midwest!

TGIFF!!!!!  In case you can't tell I am yelling that! Lol. This week has been a week full of work, training, basketball practice and parent teacher conference's.  This mama is pooped! My Friday will be spent laying on the couch with some type of fruity beverage! I am really excited about this look particularly the sweater which was one of my Goodwill finds. Its actually a boys sweater that came from The Childrens Place..and it is now mine for $1.25. That puts a smile on this girls face. Wishing you all a fantastic Friday!

Turning Nothing Into Something

I stumbled across this dress a few month ago at Jcpennys.. It was marked down to $4.97 and I ended up getting it for $4 after my coupon. When first looking at this dress I was like this is not that cute. I wasn't wild about the pattern but as a fluke I tried it on. I often tell my sisters and my friends "It may look cute when you try it on" I happen to run into my sisters Mother in law in Pennys and she said what are you doing that ugly dress..LOL.. When I tried this on I wasn't wild about the pattern but the flow of this dress and the feel of the material is really what sold me.(let's not forget it was $4)  I styled this with some booties and an leather jacket to kind of toughen it up. I am happy with the results.. what do you think? Moral of my story is .. don't judge a dress on the hanger!  Have an awesome day Fashionista's!

Blah Hump day in Indiana

It is such a blah hump day in Indiana. The weather is rainy and cold.. I love fall but days like this make me want to get under the covers and hibernate big time. These are the kind of days where you want to throw on some sweat pants and sit on the couch in front of the TV till the Sun comes back into vision!  My look today is Maxi dress from Jcpennys that I got last year on clearance of course darlings.. I remembered I watched this dress till it got marked down. My motto is that I got directly from my Mama.. "if it's meant to be it will be there" and it was at $20 . I see now my daughter has adopted this philosophy.. She finds something and she says " Mom will you watch this to see if it goes down" . That girl has some deal finding in her blood! LOL . I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday and if it's beautiful where you are at .. know that my eyes are green with envy :)

Dem Boots and Those Curls!

Normally I am all about my fashion finds but I am sharing some curly hair products also today.. so you are getting double the excitement this Tuesday morning.

My look today is a simple fall look but what I am really excited about is these moto boots from Kohl's. I love the fact that these are on trend and didn't break the bank. I am also jumping up and down because they are so comfortable . I know my daughter says I don't act 41 sometimes but my feet are definitely feeling 41. So comfort is a must!  These are so versatile which I love. I paired them with just a simple black midi and sleeveless sweater and my never let me down jean jacket!

Now moving on to my hair product finds. I had seen this Marc Anthony line and been curious about it for some time now. Then one of my curlfriends was telling me how good the reviews and I saw it on sale at Walgreen's for $5.99 so it was a definite go. Now the Giovanni leave in is one of the leave ins that I have in my rotation.. If you are a curly girl product junkie you will understand!  Last of all the 3 Sister Curling Gelo.. let me just go ahead and put it out there... I am in love with stuff .  It's like a gel but leaves your curls oh so soft.. this is a staple for me.   I hope all you fab fashionista's are having a terrific Tuesday!

Happy Sunday fashionistas! Here we are again back at Monday Eve! I can feel the crankiness starting to kick in as the day goes by. I couldnt wait to blog about this $10 find at H&M . Its a sweater/dress... I love the sheer material so light and flowing.  I pair this with a some pont pants and tank but the opportunities are endless. This was a real score in my book . Have I mentioned how much I am loving H&M ? Lol..I also switched it up by adding a Derek Lam dress that I left open because it was not my size but I  was so in love with the pattern I decided I could use it another way.. 2 different looks just by making some minor changes.
