Fab 40's in Autumn Hues

Well, it's that time of the month that I get the awesome opportunity to collaborate with the " Fab 40's"  an amazing group of International bloggers that I have had the honor of getting to know for the past year and a half.  I am so sad to announce that this will be our last collaboration  as the " Fab 40's " you know they say that all good things come to an end  but I honestly don't consider this an end because I will continue to follow these ladies not only because I am a total fan of their creative expression when it comes to fashion but also because I now consider them my friends.

The final theme ( at least for now) is one selected by me is " Autumn hues " because fall is my favorite season for fashion. I have a slight obsession with the warmer color hues or maybe because it is now  Pumpkin Spice season ( yes I am one of those people) I thought what better way to finish strong

I decided to go with a dress with olive green and shades of brown to colors I just love so much for those cooler months. They transition so perfectly to the fall season and you can continue to rock thoughout the seasons.

I love the fact that this dress shows off your shoulders and collar bone the part of body that I am ok with showing.

Now I fell in love with this dress the first time I saw it at the Salvation Army ... yes you read it right the Salvation Army.  The brand is Rachel Pally and it was NWT reg $250 and this frugal fashionista was able to grab this fabulous dress for $12.50 now this has to one of my best thrift deals eva!  Also this St John Collection bag only $7.  It just doesn't get any  better does it ?
Dress - Rachel Pally via Salvation Army , Bag - St John Collection - Goodwill,
Shoes - Target , Necklace  Eva Mendes NY and Company

Let's see what the Fab 40s' take is on this theme, shall we?

                                                            Fab 40's

Ann-Kremb De La Kremb -  I just love how Ann seriously does her own thing and totally thinks out of the box. Totally love she took and on trend piece and mixed it up with casual vibes giving it  Kimono is the perfect piece to transition into the cooler months.

Jennie -A Pocketful of Polka Dots- I think it's safe to say that Jennie is the queen of " pattern mixing "  I just how she added a simple striped top to the fabulous pattern  skirt so stylish and chic.  Giving me all my favorite autumn hues at the same time and that fabulous hair.

Veronica - Cid Style Files -  Veronica embracing two of my favorite trends right now the olive netted top and the embroidered jeans giving it a little tomboy chic and doing it so effortlessly. I simply love how she makes all the current trends her own.

I hope you all enjoyed this collaboration as much as we did and you never know maybe after a little time there will be another one.  This has been an amazing experience and it's taught me so much allowed me the opportunity to meet some fantastic women that love fashion as much as I do.

As always I want to thank you for stopping by it means so much to me.

Thrifty Finds- Global Inspiration

Hello, my Fashionista friends it's been a while. Life just has a way of happening and you feel like you are being pulled in so many directions that you need to take a moment and reset.  You know how sometimes writers get "writer's block "? Well, I think this fashion loving girl was having a Fashionista block. I needed something fresh and exciting to inspire me and this robe/jacket is just the medicine that I needed and what makes it even more exciting is it was one of my thrifty finds at my local Goodwill.   I believe this piece is from India and the embroidery and vibrant colors just had me at hello and at only $6 you know this baby had to come home with me.

I thought adding the more casual element with the jeans really made it look so on trend giving you the kimono feel which I absolutely love.

Adding a gorgeous gold statement bag was just giving this look a chic Beyonce type vibe !

I love the amazing embroidered back you will definately make a statement when leaving the room!

I just love to celebrate other cultures with fashion and get inspiration it's just a beautiful thing.

In these past few months, I have discovered a love for shopping in thrift stores. It's so funny because when I was growing up my mom would shop at the Goodwill and Salvation Army out of necessity she was a single mom to four kids and I can remember being embarrassed but I know now that my Mama was on to something unique clothes at amazing prices!  So I have decided every week that I will feature a fabulous thrifty find so stay tuned.

As always I want to thank you for stopping by it's always a pleasure!

Embroidered Everything

There are trends that peak my interest and then there are trends that I am all in for and this year I have really gotten quite excited about embroidered pieces. I love it on jackets, pants, shoes, bags you name it I probably love it.

What I loved most about this blouse what that it had two trends that I am quite fond of. The embroidery and bell sleeves it just doesn't get much better than that. Well, maybe a little when you find this supercute piece on clearance at Tar-Jay.  Oh, the little things that bring this girl joy. LOL

I have great love for the light blue and stripe shirts with the embroidery I just feel they look so classic and when you add that vibrant embroidery it just takes it to a new level and I am all about new levels these days.

I thought that adding the adding the pink accessories just give it the little pop that I was looking for plus everything is just better with pink!

Adding the ripped light pink jeans just added some edge to the look because all classic can sometimes can get a little boring. I like to show all sides of my personality in my fashion. Yes, there is a prim and proper girl in there but there is a little bit of wild child that likes to show her face once in a while.

You can also click on photos on the bottom for details to this look plus some other embroidered items that have caught my eye ;)

Well, my fashionable friends are you loving all things embroidered like I am?  If so comment below and let me know.  As always I want to thank you for stopping by it's always a pleasure.

The Fab 40's do Ruffles

Here we are at that time of the month that I get to collaborate with the Fab40's! The Fab40's are a group of fabulous International Fashionista's that select a theme every month and give our individual interpretation of that theme and this month lovely Jennie selected " Ruffles ".

I was over the moon when I found out this was the theme. My very first thought was I am going to do a ruffled dress but a lady is allowed to changed her mind so this high low ruffled number it was and I added my favorite high waist skinny jeans to keep it cute and casual.

Jennie from A Pocketful of Polka Dots

I am totally smitten with this look. Jennie creates a colorful artsy masterpiece.  I love how she paired this amazing dress with the pants giving it a chic yet casual look.  You go Jennie another great look!

                                               Anne from Kremb dela Kremb

Loving the girly vibes that Ann is giving with this supercute romper which shows off her gorgeous look. I am a sucker for all things polka dot and this is everything.

                                                       Veronica from Cid Style Files

Veronica is keeping it cute and casual with her ruffle top and cut offs. The perfect way to capture the trend and feel comfortable and doing it.

Shelley from The Queen in Between

Shelley is our loving guest blogger for the month and she wore an amazing ruffle romper. I am loving the classy chic vibes this is giving me and then pairing it with the tan heels looks absolutely amazing.  I say yes to everything about this!

Well, I want to thank you for joining us for another edition of the " Fab 40s " stay tuned next month to see what theme we will wrap up the summer with!

So glad you stopped by! Enjoy the rest of your week my fashionista friends!
