The Fab40s Are Back in Velvet

Oh, I am so happy to say that the Fab 40s are back after a 4-month break and I am so happy to be connecting with these lovely ladies again and sharing our love of fashion!  The Fab40's are a group of fashionista's that reside in different locations throughout the world. We select a theme every month and then create our interpretation of that theme. Sounds pretty fun, doesn't it? 

Well, this month the theme is velvet! I am so loving this trend and have been rocking it so much over fall and the winter months and can totally see me taking into the warmer spring months. 

I decided to keep my velvet to a min because I usually just go all the way ham with trends I love.  This time I highlighted the trend with these adorable velvet sock style booties that I scored on the clearance rack at Tar-Jay aka Target! 

 I was more than happy to add the bright hue to let you know that I am already thinking spring! Come on Mr. Groundhog don't see your shadow. 

Can you believe I scored these perfect booties for $ 11! That is what I call a super sweet deal!

Sheela from Sheela Writes is my ultimate shoe crush and she does not disappoint with the velvet theme. I have always loved Sheela flair for the dramatic she really brings it with this velvet theme! I mean a fabulous kimono and fierce boots! I mean what is their not to love!  You go girl way to kick off the new year! 

Ann from Kremb de la Kremb brings the vavoom in this sexy little velvet dress! I am dress girl and this look is near and dear to my heart! I love the gorgeous clutch and it goes perfectly with this look! Ann is wearing this dress and really puts the focus on her amazing leg! Stunning my friend! 

Jennie from Pocketful of Polka Dots  I am totally obsessed with this look I mean this velvet suit is everything and then add the fab purple pumps to it up another level! Jennie, you look amazing totally crushing on this look and your hair is fabulous as always! 

Suzi from Suzy Turner in Portugal is our guest blogger and man does she knock it out of the park! I am loving the green velvet pencil skirt but then adding the gold element is amazing not to mention these supercute converse.  Way to go, Suzi, you look fabulous so happy to have you! 

I am so excited that the Fab 40's are back!  It was always my favorite time of the month and can't wait to see what 2018 brings our way. 

Jumpsuit and Kimono Love

I was recently given the pleasure of picking out some of my favorite items from Tobi an online store to style on my blog. I am here to give you my honest opinion of these pieces.  Now I have noticed this store online previously and the great sales that they offer but have never ordered from anything so this gave me the perfect opportunity to check them out. 

There are 2 things that I am really loving right now are kimono's and jumpsuits so when I saw both of these pieces I knew they would be added to the cart. 

       I love the stunning copper-rose color of this kimono (here)and I don't own a solid one in this shade. The silky texture feels nice against the skin. A very nice quality fabric and it hangs effortlessly on the body. I can totally see myself rocking this throughout the spring weather and changing up by wearing it was dress or jeans. 

I love a great ponte material a heavy enough fabric feels like quality and this jumpsuit (here) is amazing quality. I love this versatile piece that I can dress up or down. With the back of it out gives a sexy vibe for a night out on the town. I was very happy with this selection. 

I have noticed that this site is always having amazing sales like 50 or 60% off so you really should check back for great savings.

Fabulous Finds at Gordman's

When I find amazing deals I just have to share! I mean spread love it's the Curlbyrdie way!  LOL. 

A few months ago I have found a new place to shop!  I was honored to be asked to host #gthanks event at my local Gordman's where a portion of the sales went to benefit a local nonprofit organization.  Now it had actually been a while since I shopped in there I mean maybe years ago and I was so excited about the great selections so much so I have been back many times and so has my mama, sisters, and friends!  I recently got a $50 giftcard and I was surprised with all the goodness I was able to get!  Now that is what I call a positive shopping experience. I wanted to share some of my many finds. 

  I love sweater dresses and adore the unique cutouts on the arms which makes it more than just a regular sweater dress this was actually marked down to $8.48 reg $16.99!  The bag which is from Express and sunnies was $0.98 each on clearance. I left with 3 pairs of sunglasses FYI! 

          This dress went perfectly under this coat vest that I already had in my wardrobe it allowed me to show off the sleeves. I just love buildable pieces in my wardrobe.

This is another look that I picked up that day all from the sale rack a casually cute look! The jeans, sweater, and jacket all from Express and the boots from Nine West total amount for this look was $25 and that includes the boots! I mean can you say deal? Not only a deal but I actually love the items! 

  

Not only is there amazing fashionable finds but the house decor is so gorgeous and affordable. What I love there is little of something for everyone. I actually did a lot of my holiday shopping there for so many people on my list. 

 So much fun with so many amazing options in all departments if you have one in your area you should really check it out!

Gingham Overload

 As I sit in midst of this Indiana winter weather my mind can't help but think about warmer temps and what I will be wearing in spring.  I am starting to see a glimpse of the spring trends at some of my favorite stores and I love that pieces that I am able to incorporate into my wardrobe right now. 

 I have a great love for gingham everything and when I laid eyes on these gorgeous pants I was immediately smitten and then I saw the matching top with the cute balloon sleeves I knew I wanted to wear them together. 

  This look contains all the trend that I am loving right now gingham, wide leg pants, and balloon sleeves. What more can a fashionista ask for? 

Black and white the perfect color combo that equals class and sophistication for every season!

I decided to add a pop of color to this monochromatic look with hot pink vest and pumps that I had in my wardrobe. Because in January don't we all need some extra color in our lives. 

I can totally see me rocking these pants in the warmer months with a simple tee or halter with sandals.
